About Us
"Confronting Genocide: Never Again?" The CHOICES program Watson Institute for International Studies Brown University www.choices.edu
At the Nathan and Esther Pelz Holocaust Education Resource Center (HERC), we believe that Education has the power to transform ignorance into respect for those who are different and to promote understanding of the values of tolerance and diversity.
Through Holocaust commemoration and informational programs for schools and the greater community, the HERC:
- Keeps alive the memory of the six million Jews and five million other victims of the Holocaust.
- Teaches about the complex and varied aspects of Holocaust history.
- Heightens awareness about what can happen when groups are denied basic human rights.
